MAQ seeks applications for the position of Digital Editor. The Digital Editor is responsible for the curation and editing of online content for two blogs: Critical Care – an outward-facing blog series that tackles current events and issues, written in short, accessible prose; and Second Spear – an inward-facing blog series that showcases innovative ideas and new projects by medical anthropologists, written in slightly longer, narrative prose. The Digital Editor is responsible, along with the MAQ Editor and Editorial Assistant, for accepting or declining series and individual posts, as well as working with authors to revise pieces before publication. A strong background with both writing and editing is preferred. Skill in WordPress is not absolutely necessary, but strongly desirable or would have to be learned.
